I offer private lessons on your own horse or leased horse, helping you become a stronger team whether your goal is to advance competitively or just be able to enjoy riding your horse. I have experience teaching riders of all ages and experience levels. Contact me to arrange a trial lesson or learn more about how I teach.
Schooling/Training
Hands-On Learning
I offer work riding and schooling services to improve your horse's level of training or to find the cause of a "problem" and help the horse to overcome it.
I also offer my services in: Backing, Introducing to shows, Producing to sell & Competing.
I specialise in schooling ponies, making them safe for children and for riding schools.
I offer discounts for riding schools!

Starting your horse right
I believe that the backing process is one of the most important moment in any horse's career. If rushed or done wrong, it often causes even more problems down the line... That is why I take the time to make sure that the horse is comfortable and relaxed throughout every step.
EQASA Courses
Become a Qualified groom or Stable Manager
Part-time Courses for EQASA Modules 1-3. This course is great for future equestrian professionals needing a budget-friendly course that allows you to gain work experience as you study. Course dates and times are flexible to work around your work schedule!
All course material is included.

More About Me
My Background & Philosophy
My name is Abbey Claire Collins. My approach to training both horse and rider comes from using different techniques according to what works for each individual horse and rider. I use a combination of natural horsemanship and kind, gentle traditional methods.
I've completed my EQASA Module 4 and I have years of experience teaching riders from beginner level to more experienced in various disciplines. I've been schooling horses and work riding for even longer and I specialize in schooling ponies and stopping those naughty habits that come from being able to get away with murder!
I have experience competing in various disciplines such as dressage, show jumping, equitation and eventing. I invite you to explore what services I have to offer, and email or phone to have a chat!
